Hollywood Headshots

While our standard headshots are all you'll need for getting work in London, they're really quite a different format from the ones being used in Hollywood. If you're thinking about pursuing a career there, you'll want to get Hollywood-style headshots, and really the only place to do that is in Hollywood... and TAC. Half of our founders are, in fact, from Hollywood and have spent years casting in L.A.

What's the difference? For starters, Hollywood has led the trend toward colour - now that it's mostly digital, photographers have stopped using the excuse that b&w film is cheaper, so there's little reason to not go colour. Also, while b&w has an artistic touch to it, it's not what we casting agents want to see - we want as accurate a depiction of you as we can get, although you're not going to be in a movie or tv show looking off-the-street. So in addition to colour, they are more dynamic, show more expression, and usually feature some professional hair & make-up styling.

But don't mistake these for glamour shots - you're not going to look fake or impossibly flattered, because that's a disservice to you the moment you step into your audition. You'll look great, but you'll still be yourself.

No plans to go west just yet? These shots are still quite a bonus in your portfolio - you'll be looking your best and standing out from the crowd by a longshot. If your career is just one step away from landing a breakthrough role, it's probably time to invest in the bigtime. Your headshot is your biggest calling card - make sure you're showing them your absolute best!
